History

The house in Meavaig was built around 60 years ago by Allan Macleod,
father of Norah Macdonald the owner of the house.

Take a walk over the hill on the other side of the inlet and see if you can
find the old village of Miavaig, 2 ruins of the blackhouses where Allan was
born and the ruin of another house
which was lived in by one old man untill
only a few years ago.

In the garden you can still see the 'lazy beds' where vegetables were grown
and if you take a look on the right hand side of the road about 40 yards from
the front gate you will find the remnants of an old well at the side of the road.
